i'm smart, i promise.

dear journal,

no i'm not valedictorian (i honestly dont even know if i spelt that right)
yes, i have good grades
no i'm not top of my class
yes, i will get into college

but sometimes i sit in the back of the class, (or in the front scribbling away at my notes) feeling...'not so smart' i feel as if all the world wants is your science smarts, your english and math abilities, and your ACT score.

BUT tell you what: if you were to put me into hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, i would without a doubt be one of those Hermione Grangers. And if you needed to dispose of an evil ring possesed with an evil spirit, i could tell you the necessary steps and draw you a map to the place where the destroying must take place. if you are wondering in what other movie you have seen that girl in, call me up and i'll let you know in a matter of seconds. need a movie quote? i'm your girl. need a movie-night friend? call me up.
My skills in these particular areas classify me as an A+ nerd, and i am completely content with that. And the fact that i might have studied one direction more than for my modern world history final, is just peachy keen in my book.

So, if you are in need of a chemistry study-buddy, heres my number: NOT.
but if you find yourself in need of a fellow directioner, ravenclaw, hobbit, padawan, etc. you can find me in my room studying up on things that give me pure joy. (as shown above, reading HP #6)

made it

it was painful and i would not do it over again, but i made it. junior year is over and done with. although entering it with the hopes that it would be better than sophmore year ended with disappointment, i learned a lot. all my experiences have led me to learn a lot, but there was one thing imparticular i took away from this past school year. independence. i am a strong independent girl now, and completely proud of it. i like where i'm at. i'm proud of the girl ive become, and not many people can say that. so, i count this year as a win. because although distance was made and friends were lost, i feel i came out on top. because i have a savior and an amazing family support system behind me. friends who are true and wont ever fall away. those are the ones to keep close.

Dear journal,

Bailey came over this weekend. YAY. Now that we are finally done with that akward stage in our 13 year relationship, things are as great as ever. Ha. I forget how much we have in common!
This weekend consisted mostly of one direction loving, obsessing-over, and fangirling. We also planned our senior trip! Woot woot!

August 7th 2013 will be the best day of our lives.. The best. With operation 'Bailey-in-a-bag' our mission to meet our husbands is fool proof. And operation '1August' consists of front row seats, backstage passes, 4 best friends, and LA baby.
Calling Kathy consisted of shaking, screaming, thanking, and peeing our pants.
We've had quite the productive weekend. I'm proud of us.

Today was gorgeous, and such a wonderful glimpse of summer. Although, us Utahans were dying from just 68 degree weather.. it's kinda embarrassing.
There is light at the end of the long, dark, terrible tunnel. 2 weeks of torture left, then hello to summer fun.
